I am deeply passionate about supporting women as they navigate the multifaceted roles they play throughout their lives—as students, professionals, parents, and partners. My practice provides a safe and empowering space for women to explore their ideas, vulnerabilities, and strengths as they strive for harmony and integration across these roles. For women who are parents or planning to become one, I offer tailored support to manage the challenges that may arise, including fertility and preconception concerns, as well as pre- and postpartum anxiety and depression.
Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, I moved to the United States as a teenager to attend The Armand Hammer United World College (AHUWC), a school devoted to fostering tolerance, international understanding, and peace. After completing my undergraduate studies in Psychology and Fine Arts at Cornell University, I earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Graduate Center, CUNY. Over the past 20 years, I have worked as a supervising psychologist in various New York City hospitals and have consulted for schools and organizations.
My immigration journey, life experiences, and professional path have given me a unique perspective in working with individuals and families from multicultural backgrounds.
Outside of my practice, I find joy in creative pursuits such as painting, photography, and etching, and I enjoy teaching art to children. My artwork has been exhibited in New York, Rhode Island, and Santo Domingo.
